A local radio station just played Ten Years After's rendition of "I'm Going Home" from Woodstock. Sure, it's full of cliches and a little repetitious, but, man it rocks. In this performance, Alvin Lee knows exactly how to attenuate the volume and energy in his voice, when to launch into a guitar solo, when to hold back, when to go full bore - and then some. He plays it just right. The crowd is totally into it. Download this tune if you need a pick-me-up; it's better than caffeine. If you're driving, I defy you not to be drumming on the steering wheel by the third verse.
